Monkey Bars and Climbing Frames for Irish Gardens
The BERG PlayBase is a steel frame with monkey-bar rungs across the top and swings, climbing and fitness accessories that hang underneath. Four sizes, from €999, delivered free in Ireland.
What the BERG PlayBase is
The PlayBase is a modular steel climbing frame made by BERG. The top of the frame is a set of monkey bars. Underneath, swings, gym rings, a climbing wall, a basketball hoop or a boxing bag hang from carabiner points, and you can change them as the children grow.
Being steel, the frame needs no treating or staining. There are four frames: one that fixes to a wall and three that stand on their own.
- Steel frame, powder-coated over a zinc layer, in Black or Green
- A run of monkey-bar rungs across the top of the frame
- Accessories hang from carabiner points and can be swapped
- Every frame is 1m deep and 2.45m high, with a 400kg maximum total load
- For ages 3 and up, CE marked
- Frame warranty of 10 years, or 13 years when registered with BERG

Who it suits
Because the accessories can be swapped, one frame can be set up differently as a family grows.
Young children
The frame is for ages 3 and up. Swing seats, the nest swing, the trapeze and gym rings all suit this age. The baby seat can be used from 9 months with an adult pushing.
Older children
The monkey-bar rungs along the top, the climbing wall, the climbing net and the basketball hoop give older children more to do on the same frame.
Teenagers and adults
The pull-up bar, dip bar, boxing bag, fitness rope and resistance bands are for ages 14 and over, so the frame can become a place to train.

Accessories start at €29 and most fit every frame. Here are some of them; the accessories page lists them all and says which frame each one fits.

How it works
1. Free garden consultation
Send us a couple of photos and rough measurements. We tell you which frame fits, checking the free space BERG's manual asks for, and give you a delivered price.
2. Free delivery
PlayBase frames are held in stock in our own Irish warehouse. In-stock items are delivered within 48 hours, otherwise typically 7 to 10 days, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
3. Assembly
We do not assemble PlayBase frames. BERG's manual covers assembly, and we can put you in touch with an experienced installer if you would rather not do it yourself.
Frequently asked questions
What age is the BERG PlayBase for?
The frames are for ages 3 and up. The baby seat can be used from 9 months with an adult pushing. The fitness accessories (pull-up bar, dip bar, boxing bag, fitness rope and resistance bands) are for ages 14 and over.
Will it fit my garden?
There are four widths: Wall 1.2m, Medium 2.85m, Large 3.8m, Extra Large 4.9m. Every frame is 1m deep and 2.45m high. BERG's manual gives the free space each frame needs around it, and we check that against your garden in the free consultation.
Can I add accessories later?
Yes. Accessories hang from carabiner points on the frame and can be swapped, so you can start with the frame and one or two accessories and add more later. Most accessories fit every frame; the exceptions are listed on the accessories page.
Do you assemble the frame?
No. We deliver the frame and BERG's manual covers assembly. If you would rather not build it yourself, we can put you in touch with an experienced installer. The free-standing frames are held by base sections anchored in the ground, so no concrete is needed.
How do I order and what does delivery cost?
Orders are placed on TrampolinesIreland.com, or by phone on 01 960 1641. Delivery is free on orders over €300, which covers every frame, across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Orders under €300 cost €11.99 to deliver.
Not sure which frame fits your garden?
Send us a couple of photos and rough measurements. We will tell you which PlayBase frame fits and give you a delivered price. It is free and there is no obligation.
